Karan Ashley is an American actress, singer, and talk show host. She is most famous for playing Aisha Campbell, the second Yellow Power Ranger, in the TV show Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. In 1992, she was part of a music group called K.R.U.S.H. This group had a song on the soundtrack for the movie Mo' Money. At that time, she was known as "Ashley Jackson."

Life and Career
Karan Ashley was born in Odessa, Texas. She has a mixed background, being both African-American and Mexican. She started her education in Dallas, Texas, and later graduated from David W. Carter High School.
Becoming a Power Ranger
Karan was accepted into North Texas State University. However, just before she was supposed to start college, she got a big role. She was chosen to play Aisha Campbell, the second Yellow Ranger, in the TV series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. She took over the role from Thuy Trang, who played Trini Kwan. Her last regular appearance on Power Rangers was in the final episode of the third season.
In 2023, Karan Ashley returned to play Aisha Campbell again. This was for the Netflix special, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always. This special celebrated 30 years of the Power Rangers story. It was the first time her character appeared since leaving the show in 1996.
Other Acting Roles
Besides Power Rangers, Ashley has appeared in other TV shows. These include Hangin' with Mr. Cooper, Kenan & Kel, and The Parkers. She also acted in a web series called Class Dismissed in 2016. In this series, she worked with other actors from Power Rangers, like Nakia Burrise and Catherine Sutherland.
Behind the Scenes Work
Karan Ashley has also worked as a producer and writer. Her first time as an executive producer was for the independent film Devon's Ghost. She worked on this film with Johnny Yong Bosch, another actor from Power Rangers. She also helped write Devon's Ghost. Her first full screenplay was for the movie Unto Thee in 1999. She wrote this film with Gia and Tim Grace, and she also starred in it.
In 2017, she announced that she would star in and produce a short film called The Order. She cast many other Power Rangers actors in this project.
