Karan Ashley Jackson is an American actress, singer, and host. She is famous for playing Aisha Campbell, the second Yellow Power Ranger, in the TV show Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. This popular show was part of Fox Kids. In 1992, she was in a music group called K.R.U.S.H. They had a song on the soundtrack for the movie Mo' Money. At that time, she was known as "Ashley Jackson."

Early Life and Power Rangers Role

Karan Ashley was born in Odessa, Texas. Her family background includes both African-American and Mexican heritage. She finished high school at David W. Carter High School in Dallas, Texas. Karan was accepted into North Texas State University. However, just before starting college, she got a big acting role.

She was chosen to play Aisha Campbell, the second Yellow Ranger, in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. She took over the role from Thuy Trang, who played Trini Kwan. Her last regular appearance on Power Rangers was in the final episode of the third season.

In 2023, Karan Ashley returned to play Aisha Campbell again. This was for the Netflix special, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always. This special celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Power Rangers series. It was the first time her character appeared since 1996. In the special, a new character named Minh took over the saber tooth tiger power.

Other Acting and Production Work

Karan Ashley has also appeared as a guest on several TV shows. These include Hangin' with Mr. Cooper, Kenan & Kel, and The Parkers. She also appeared in Taylor's Wall.

Her first experience as an executive producer was for an independent film called Devon's Ghost. She worked on this film with other Power Rangers actors like Johnny Yong Bosch. She also helped write Devon's Ghost. Her first full screenplay was for the film Unto Thee in 1999. She wrote this movie with Gia and Tim Grace and also acted in it.

Hosting and Recent Projects

In August 2010, Karan Ashley was invited to Power Morphicon. This is a big fan convention for Power Rangers in Pasadena, California. In September 2011, she became a regular co-host and producer for a national talk radio show called "UnCensored Radio." She hosted the show with Katrina Johnson and Jeffrey Emmette. They also filmed "Uncensored Reality," a reality show connected to the radio program.

More recently, in 2016, she starred in a web series called Class Dismissed. She worked alongside other "Power Rangers" actors, Nakia Burrise and Catherine Sutherland. In 2017, she shared that she would be starring in and producing a short film called The Order. Many other Power Rangers actors were cast in this film.
