Karl Farmer was born on August 28, 1954. He went to George Washington Preparatory High School in Westmont, California. After high school, he started his college studies at Los Angeles Southwest College. Later, he transferred to the University of Pittsburgh.
College Sports Success
At the University of Pittsburgh, Karl Farmer was not just a football player. He was also a talented athlete in track and field. In 1976, he was named an All American for the Pittsburgh Panthers track and field team. This means he was one of the best college athletes in the country. He finished second in the 600 yards race at the 1976 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Playing in the NFL
