Katamari Damacy (塊魂, Katamari Damashii, lit. "Clump Spirit") is a super fun puzzle-action video game. It was made by Namco for the PlayStation 2 game console. This game is known for being very unique and creative. Many other games have followed it, like We Love Katamari, Me & My Katamari, and Beautiful Katamari.
Rolling into Adventure
In Katamari Damacy, you play as a tiny human-like character. This character is a prince! His dad is the King of All Cosmos. One day, the King accidentally destroys all the stars in the galaxy. Oops!
To fix this big problem, the King asks his son, the Prince, for help. He gives the Prince a special, sticky ball called a Katamari. The King then sends the Prince down to Earth. Your job is to roll this Katamari ball around. As you roll, all sorts of things stick to it!
The goal is to make the Katamari grow bigger and bigger. You start by picking up small items like pencils and thumbtacks. As your ball gets larger, you can pick up bigger things. Soon, you'll be rolling up cars, buildings, and even clouds! Once your Katamari reaches a certain size, you send it back to the King. If it's big enough, it floats into space and becomes a brand new star!
