Writing the Warriors Series

Kate Cary has written many books in the Warriors series. Some of her well-known titles include Into the Wild, Fire and Ice, The Sight, The Last Hope, and Bluestar's Prophecy.

She has shared that she gets very connected to the characters in her books. It can be sad for her to write scenes where characters pass away. Kate Cary also gets ideas for the ThunderClan territory in the books from a beautiful place called Loch Lomond in Scotland. She announced that she stopped writing for the Warriors series in 2024.

The Bloodline Series

Kate Cary also wrote a series called Bloodline. The first book, simply titled Bloodline, came out in 2005. This book is like an unofficial follow-up to the classic story Dracula. It is an epistolary novel, which means the story is told through letters, diary entries, or other documents. The story takes place during World War I.

Critics liked the surprising twists in the plot of Bloodline. Kate Cary wrote a second book in this series called Bloodline: Reckoning in 2007. This book also kept readers guessing with its mysteries.
