About Cherith Baldry

Cherith Baldry was born in Lancaster, England. She went to Manchester University and St Anne's College, Oxford, for her studies. After finishing school, she worked as a teacher and a lecturer. She taught in Sierra Leone and also in England. She is a member of the British Science Fiction Association and has written reviews for them.

Writing as Erin Hunter

Cherith Baldry is one of seven authors who write together under the name Erin Hunter. This team is well-known for two popular book series:

Cherith's Inspiration

Cherith Baldry lives in Reigate with her two cats, Bramble and Sorrel. These cats actually inspired two characters in the Warriors books! Their names are Brambleclaw and Sorreltail. Cherith was married to Peter Baldry, a scientist, and they have two sons, Will and Adam.
