Mark Makora Mbogo (born September 23, 1997), known as KayCyy or KayCyy Pluto, is a talented rapper, singer, and songwriter. He is from both Kenya and the United States.
KayCyy was born in Keroka, Kenya. His family moved to the United States when he was young. Throughout his music career, he has released many mixtapes and singles. His first studio album, Who Is KayCyy?, is expected to be released in 2025. KayCyy has worked with famous artists like Kanye West, Lil Baby, Lil Wayne, and Travis Scott. He helped a lot with Kanye West's album Donda, writing and recording many parts for the songs.

KayCyy's Early Life
Mark Makora Mbogo was born in Keroka, Kenya, on September 23, 1997. When he was nine years old, he and his family moved to the United States. They settled in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He went to Tartan Senior High School in a nearby town called Oakdale.
During school breaks, KayCyy spent time in New York City. There, he worked with other music artists. After finishing high school, Mbogo moved to New York City. Later, he moved to Los Angeles to focus on his music career.

Starting His Career
In 2016, while still in high school, KayCyy signed with Alive Productions. This record label was started by music producer Reefa. KayCyy later left this label in 2021. He released two mixtapes, Patient Enough in 2020 and Ups & Downs in 2021.
Working with Other Artists
KayCyy has worked with many other artists. He helped write songs for Lil Wayne's album Funeral. He also contributed to Kanye West's song "Wash Us in the Blood".
KayCyy has worked very closely with Kanye West since 2019. They met through a music executive named Abou "Bu" Thiam. Bu later became Kanye West's manager, and also KayCyy's manager. KayCyy is now signed to Bu's record label, BuVision, and also to Columbia Records.
He is listed as a performer and writer on Kanye West's album Donda. This includes the song "Hurricane", which became very popular around the world.
Awards and Recent Music
KayCyy was nominated for a Grammy Award for Album of the Year for his work on Kanye's album Donda. He also won a Grammy Award for singing background vocals on the song "Hurricane." This song won the Grammy Award for Best Melodic Rap Performance.
KayCyy released a special project called TW20 50 with Gesaffelstein on March 11, 2022. He also released the mixtape Get Used To It on June 2, 2022. On May 26, 2023, he released another project with Gesaffelstein called TW2052. KayCyy was also featured and helped write the song "Thank God" on Travis Scott’s album Utopia.
