Keena Turner (born October 22, 1958) is a famous American football player. He later became a coach and now works as an executive. He played his entire professional career as a linebacker for the San Francisco 49ers. He was picked by the 49ers in the second round of the 1980 NFL draft.
Turner was 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighed about 237 pounds. He played for 11 seasons in the NFL. During his time with the 49ers, he won four Super Bowl championships! He was also chosen for the Pro Bowl once. A fun fact is that he played in Super Bowl XVI even though he had the chickenpox.
After he stopped playing football, Keena Turner worked as a TV co-host for 49ers pre-season games. Today, he is the team's vice president and a senior advisor to the general manager. Keena Turner and his wife, Linda, have three children named Sheena, Miles, and Ella.
Keena Turner's Coaching Days
After his playing career, Keena Turner became a coach. From 1992 to 1994, he coached linebackers at Stanford University. He worked under the famous coach Bill Walsh.
