Keith Darryl Kidd, born on September 10, 1962, is an American former professional football player. He played as a wide receiver, a position where players catch passes from the quarterback. Keith played one season with the Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League (NFL). He was chosen by the Vikings in the 1984 NFL draft. Before joining the pros, he played college football at the University of Arkansas. He also went to Crossett High School in Crossett, Arkansas.
His College Days
Keith Kidd played college football for the Arkansas Razorbacks. He was part of the team from 1980 to 1983. During his time there, he caught 24 passes. These catches gained him a total of 517 receiving yards. He also scored four touchdowns for his team.
Playing in the NFL
Keith Kidd was picked by the Minnesota Vikings in the 1984 NFL draft. This draft is where NFL teams choose new players from colleges. He was the 235th player chosen overall. The Vikings officially signed him to their team on August 1, 1984.
Later, on August 27, 1985, Keith had to stop playing for a while. He had a muscle injury called a pulled hamstring. This meant he was placed on injured reserve, which is a list for players who are hurt and cannot play. Keith Kidd returned to play in one game for the Vikings during the 1987 football season.
