Kenneth Choi (born October 20, 1971) is an American actor. He is famous for playing firefighter Howie "Chimney" Han in the TV drama series 9-1-1. Many people also know him from his roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Choi has appeared in many popular movies and TV shows. He played Henry Lin in the series Sons of Anarchy and Chester Ming in the movie The Wolf of Wall Street. He also played Judge Lance Ito in the award-winning series The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story.
In the Marvel movies, he played a soldier named Jim Morita in Captain America: The First Avenger. He later played Principal Morita, the grandson of his first character, in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Early Life and Education
Kenneth Choi was born in Chicago, Illinois. His parents were immigrants from Korea. His father worked as a professor of electrical engineering and a businessman. His mother was a nurse who later became a stay-at-home mom.
As a kid, Choi was very active. He was a breakdancer in junior high. In high school, he was a gymnast and ran cross-country. He was so good at gymnastics that he set a school record on the pommel horse.
His parents wanted him to choose a "responsible" career like accounting. They did not support his dream of becoming an actor. To please them, Choi went to Purdue University to study accounting. However, he soon realized acting was his true passion and decided to leave college to follow his dream.
Choi said that because of his traditional upbringing, he knew he had to make it on his own. He left home and moved to Portland, Oregon, to start his acting journey. He worked at a Blockbuster video store while taking acting classes for five years.
Acting Career
Choi's first acting job was in the Disney Channel movie Halloweentown in 1998. After that, he moved to Los Angeles to find more acting opportunities.
Famous Movie Roles
Choi has acted in many big movies. One of his most famous roles was as soldier Jim Morita in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011). He was one of Captain America's trusted allies.
In 2017, he returned to the Marvel universe in Spider-Man: Homecoming. This time, he played the principal of Peter Parker's high school. His character was the grandson of the soldier he played in Captain America.
