Captain America: The First Avenger is an exciting superhero movie from the United States. It is based on the famous Marvel Comics character, Captain America. The movie was directed by Joe Johnston and produced by Kevin Feige. It first came out in the United States on July 22, 2011.
Even though it was shown in 3D, the movie was not actually filmed that way. The movie was shot in Los Angeles, California, and also in Manchester, England, in the United Kingdom. The writers, Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus, later returned to write the sequel, Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

When the Movie Came Out
Captain America: The First Avenger was released in many countries around the world. It first premiered in the United States, Canada, and Italy on July 22, 2011. Many other countries saw the movie in late July and August of the same year.
