Kenneth Kamwi Matengu was born in 1978 in Katima Mulilo, Namibia. He is a well-known professor from Namibia. Since August 2018, he has been the Vice Chancellor of the University of Namibia. This means he is like the head principal of the entire university. He took over this important job from Professor Lazarus Hangula.

Who is Kenneth Matengu?
Kenneth Matengu is a very important person in education in Namibia. As the Vice Chancellor, he helps lead and manage the University of Namibia. This university is one of the biggest places for learning in the country. He makes sure students get a good education and that the university runs smoothly.
A Young Leader
Before becoming Vice Chancellor, Professor Matengu worked at the same university. From 2016 to 2018, he was the Pro-Vice Chancellor. This role focused on research, new ideas, and getting resources for the university. On June 29, 2018, he was chosen to be the third Vice Chancellor. He was the youngest person ever to get this top position at the university.

Kenneth Matengu worked hard in school to reach his goals. He went to Caprivi Senior Secondary for his high school education. After that, he continued his studies at different universities.
What He Studied
He earned a Certificate in International Relations from the University of Tampere. He also got a Bachelor's degree in Geography and Sociology from the University of Namibia. Later, he earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the University of Eastern Finland. His Ph.D. focused on how new ideas spread and help with development. He received this degree with "exemia cum laude," which means with the highest honors.

Professor Matengu has written many articles and books. He has published about 50 articles that have been reviewed by other experts. He has also written parts of books and presented papers at international meetings. These writings share his knowledge and research with the world.
