Kenya Kinski-Jones was born in Los Angeles, California. Her parents are the famous American musician Quincy Jones and German actress Nastassja Kinski.
She has several half-siblings, meaning they share one parent. These include actresses Rashida Jones and Kidada Jones, and producer Quincy Jones III.
