Kerri-Anne Kennerley (born 22 September 1953) is a famous Australian television and radio presenter. She is also an actress and singer. Kerri-Anne has worked in the entertainment industry for over 50 years. She is even part of the Logie Hall of Fame, which is a special award for TV legends.
She co-hosted a popular breakfast TV show called Good Morning Australia for 11 years. Later, she hosted her own show, Midday with Kerri-Anne. She also had another breakfast show called Kerri-Anne. More recently, she was a co-host on Network 10's Studio 10. In 2020, she acted in the musical Pippin in Sydney.

Early Career and Music
Kerri-Anne first appeared on television in 1967. She was just 14 years old. Her first shows were The Channel Niners and Everybody's In in Brisbane. After living in the US, she returned to Australia in 1981. She then joined the TV series The Restless Years. This was a soap opera for teenagers.
From 1981 to 1991, she co-hosted Good Morning Australia. This show aired on Network Ten.
In the 1980s, Kerri-Anne also sang. She released her own album called Kerri-Anne. She also released a Christmas album in 1985. Her singing style was even featured on the TV comedy show Fast Forward. She also sang the AC/DC song Dirty Deeds on Andrew Denton's Musical Challenge.
Hosting Popular TV Shows
In 1996, Kerri-Anne became the host of Midday. The show was renamed Midday with Kerri-Anne. This was her first time hosting a talk show by herself. Her work on Midday earned her three nominations for the Gold Logie. This is a very important award in Australian television.
After Midday finished in 1998, she joined the What's Cooking program. This role was short, lasting only a few months. Both Midday and What's Cooking were on the Nine Network.
In 2001, she moved to Network Ten. There, she hosted game shows like Greed and Moment of Truth. These shows did not last long. In 2002, she returned to the Nine Network. She started her second solo talk show, Kerri-Anne. It was first called Mornings with Kerri-Anne. The show aired on weekdays for nine years. In 2011, it was announced that Kerri-Anne would end.
Later TV Appearances
In 2012, Kerri-Anne joined the Seven Network. She was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars. She was the fourth person to be eliminated. She also appeared as a guest reporter on Sunday Night. She filled in as a presenter on The Morning Show.
In 2013, Kerri-Anne started presenting a true crime series. It was called Behind Mansion Walls for Foxtel. She also appeared as a guest on Network Ten's The Project.
In 2018, Kerri-Anne joined Studio 10 as a co-host. She worked alongside other presenters like Sarah Harris. In August 2020, she announced she would be leaving Studio 10. This was after three years on the show.
After leaving Studio 10, Kerri-Anne was cast in the musical Pippin. She played the role of Berthe. In 2022, she performed in a tribute show for comedian Paul Hogan. It was called Roast of Paul Hogan. In 2023, she was a contestant on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!. She left the show after a few days.
Personal Life
Kerri-Anne Wright was born in Brisbane, Queensland. Her father was a builder. She grew up in Sandgate, Brisbane, with her three siblings.
She married John Kennerley in 1984. John had two children from a previous marriage. Kerri-Anne shared that she had tried to have children for many years. She had a miscarriage and always wished she could have had children.
In June 2012, Kerri-Anne shared that she had breast cancer. She later recovered. In 2013, she was elected to the board of Golf Australia.
In March 2016, her husband John was seriously injured in a fall. He became paralysed. John Kennerley passed away in February 2019 at the age of 78. Kerri-Anne lives in the Sydney suburb of Woollahra.
Awards and Honours
Kerri-Anne was nominated for the Gold Logie three times. These nominations were in 1997, 1998, and 1999 for her work on Midday. In 1988, she received a star on the Caloundra Walk of Stars.
In 2017, she was inducted into the Logie Hall of Fame. This is a very special honour for people who have made a big impact on Australian television. In 2018, her picture appeared on Australia Post stamps. This was part of a series called "Legends of Television".
