Kevin Alves, born on October 19, 1991, is an actor and former figure skater. He is from both Canada and Brazil. He competed in figure skating at five major international events. Kevin was the first male skater to represent Brazil at an ISU Championship. He was also the first Brazilian skater to compete at the World Junior Championships. As an actor, Alves stars as Travis in the TV series Yellowjackets.

Early Life and Background
Kevin Alves was born in Toronto, Canada, on October 19, 1991. He grew up in Newmarket, Ontario. His mother is from Brazil, and his father is from Portugal.
Acting Career
Alves started modeling when he was 12 years old. At age 19, he began studying acting for movies and television. Since then, he has appeared in several TV shows. These include Warehouse 13 and What's Up Warthogs. He also played Fab in Degrassi: The Next Generation.
In 2017, Alves played Bat, a werewolf, in the second season of Shadowhunters. He also portrayed Javi in the Netflix series Locke & Key. Kevin Alves has a main role as Travis in the Showtime drama series Yellowjackets. In February 2025, Yellowjackets returned for its third season, and Alves played Travis Martinez in all 10 episodes.
Directing and Producing
In March 2024, Alves announced he would direct his first feature film, called Lucky Weekend. The movie is about an 18-year-old named Gabe (played by Alves). Gabe tries to get back a winning lottery ticket that his best friend stole. He gathers a group of friends to help him before the ticket is cashed in.
In April 2024, it was announced that Alves would have a recurring role. This was in the eight-episode Netflix comedy series No Good Deed.
Figure Skating Career
Alves competed in junior-level skating events in Canada. When he was younger, he decided to compete for Brazil, his mother's home country. He made this switch in 2007.
In the 2007–2008 season, Alves competed at the 2008 Four Continents Championships. He was the first male skater to represent Brazil at this major international event, finishing 26th. Later that month, he placed 36th at the 2008 World Junior Championships. He was also the first Brazilian skater to compete there.
In the 2008–2009 season, Alves started competing in the ISU Junior Grand Prix. He finished 20th in Courchevel, France, and 10th in Cape Town, South Africa. He placed 16th at the 2009 Four Continents Championships. The next month, he finished 37th at the 2009 World Championships. This made him the first male skater from Brazil to compete at the senior World level.
