Kevin Alves (born October 19, 1991) is an actor and former figure skater. He has both Canadian and Brazilian backgrounds. Kevin competed in figure skating at five big international championships. He was the first male skater to represent Brazil at an ISU Championship in 2008. He was also the first Brazilian skater to compete at the World Junior Championships in 2008. As an actor, Kevin Alves stars in the TV show Yellowjackets.

Kevin Alves was born on October 19, 1991, in Toronto, Canada. He grew up in Newmarket, Ontario. His mother is from Brazil, and his father is from Portugal. In 2025, it was shared that Alves was dating his Yellowjackets co-star, Alexa Barajas.
Kevin Alves: Acting Career
Kevin started modeling when he was 12 years old. At 19, he began studying acting for TV and movies. He has appeared in several TV shows.
Early Acting Roles
Kevin acted in shows like Warehouse 13 and What's Up Warthogs. He also had a role on Degrassi: The Next Generation. In 2017, he played a werewolf named Bat in the second season of Shadowhunters.
Recent TV Shows
Kevin played Javi in the Netflix series Locke & Key. He also has a main role as Travis in the TV drama Yellowjackets. In February 2025, Yellowjackets returned for its third season, where Kevin continued his role as Travis Martinez.

In March 2024, Kevin Alves announced he would direct his first movie, Lucky Weekend. This film is about an 18-year-old named Gabe who tries to get his winning lottery ticket back from his best friend. In April 2024, it was also announced that Kevin would have a recurring role in the Netflix comedy series No Good Deed.
Kevin Alves: Skating Career
Kevin Alves competed as a junior skater in Canada. He later decided to compete for Brazil, his mother's home country, starting in 2007.
Representing Brazil
In the 2007–2008 skating season, Kevin competed at the 2008 Four Continents Championships. He was the first male skater to represent Brazil at this type of international event. He placed 26th. Later that month, he competed at the 2008 World Junior Championships. He became the first skater to represent Brazil at this event, placing 36th.
Junior Grand Prix and World Championships
In the 2008–2009 season, Kevin started competing in the ISU Junior Grand Prix series. He placed 20th in France and 10th in South Africa. He then placed 16th at the 2009 Four Continents Championships. The next month, he competed at the 2009 World Championships, placing 37th. He was the first male skater from Brazil to compete at the senior World level.
Suspension and Return
In October 2021, Kevin Alves was temporarily suspended by Skate Canada. This suspension was lifted in January 2024.
