Kevon Lavelle Harris (born June 24, 1997) is an American professional basketball player. He plays for the Houston Rockets in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He also has a special "two-way contract" with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the NBA G League. Before becoming a pro, he played college basketball for the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks.

Early Life and High School Basketball
Kevon Harris was born and grew up in Ellenwood, Georgia. He went to Martin Luther King Jr. High School. In his final year, he was a star player. He scored about 16 points and grabbed almost 12 rebounds per game. He helped his team achieve a great record of 24 wins and 6 losses. They even made it to the state semifinals.
After high school, Kevon spent an extra year at DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Florida. This helped him prepare for college basketball. He chose to play for Stephen F. Austin. Other colleges like Utah State and Texas A&M also wanted him.
College Basketball Career
Kevon Harris quickly became an important player for the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks. He started playing in games during his first year. He averaged 8.5 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.
Becoming a Star Player
In his second year, Kevon's skills grew even more. He averaged 14.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. He was named to the second team All-Southland Conference. He continued to improve in his third year. He averaged 17.8 points and 6.5 rebounds. Again, he was named to the second team All-Southland Conference. During this season, he scored over 1,000 points in his college career.
Kevon thought about joining the NBA draft in 2019. But he decided to stay at Stephen F. Austin for his senior year. This was a great choice. On February 19, 2020, he made history. He became the school's all-time leading scorer in Division I basketball. He passed the previous record held by Thomas Walkup.
After his senior season, Kevon received a big honor. He was named the Southland Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year. He also made the first team All-Southland Conference. He finished fourth in the conference for scoring. He averaged 17.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.
Professional Basketball Journey
Kevon Harris was not chosen in the 2020 NBA draft. However, he was picked by the Raptors 905 in the 2021 NBA G League draft. This was his first step into professional basketball.
Playing for Raptors 905 and Zadar
He played for the Raptors 905 from 2020 to 2022. In August 2021, he signed with a team called Zadar in Croatia. But he left Zadar in October 2021. He then rejoined the Raptors 905.
Time with the Orlando Magic
In 2022, Kevon joined the Minnesota Timberwolves for the NBA Summer League. He played well, scoring 13 points in his first game. On July 25, 2022, he signed a "two-way contract" with the Orlando Magic. This meant he could play for both the Magic in the NBA and their G League team. He played for the Magic during the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons.
Playing for College Park Skyhawks and Houston Rockets
In September 2024, Kevon signed a deal with the Atlanta Hawks. He later joined the College Park Skyhawks, their G League team. In March 2025, he signed a short contract with the Hawks, but it ended soon after.
On July 3, 2025, Kevon Harris signed a "two-way contract" with the Houston Rockets. He is currently playing for them and their G League team, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
