Keynan Anthony Middleton (born September 12, 1993) is an American professional baseball pitcher. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for several teams. These include the Los Angeles Angels, Seattle Mariners, Arizona Diamondbacks, Chicago White Sox, and New York Yankees. Keynan was chosen by the Angels in the 2013 MLB draft. He made his big league debut with them in 2017.

Early Baseball Days
Keynan Middleton went to Milwaukie High School in Milwaukie, Oregon. After high school, he played college baseball at Lane Community College. His talent was noticed, and the Los Angeles Angels picked him in the third round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft. This was a big step towards his dream of playing professional baseball.
Professional Career
Starting in the Minor Leagues
After being drafted, Keynan began his professional journey. He played for several minor league teams. These included the Arizona League Angels and the Orem Owlz. He also played for the Burlington Bees and the Inland Empire 66ers. In 2016, he moved up to the Arkansas Travelers and the Salt Lake Bees. During this time, he showed he could strike out a lot of batters.
Playing for the Los Angeles Angels
Keynan made his exciting Major League Baseball debut on May 5, 2017. He pitched one inning and struck out a batter. On June 11, he earned his first ever win as a relief pitcher. He got his first save on August 8, 2017, helping his team win a close game. He finished his first season with a great record of 6 wins and 1 loss. He also had 3 saves in 64 games. He was known for his fast pitches, averaging 97.2 miles per hour.
In 2018, Keynan started as the Angels' closer, a pitcher who finishes games. However, he had to get a major elbow surgery called Tommy John surgery. This meant he missed the rest of the season. He worked hard to recover and returned to play in September 2019.
Moving to Other Teams
After his time with the Angels, Keynan signed with the Seattle Mariners in 2020. He played 32 games for them before moving on.
In 2022, he joined the Arizona Diamondbacks. He started in their minor league system before being called up to the main team.
Then, in 2023, Keynan signed with the Chicago White Sox. He pitched well for them, showing his strong skills. Later that year, he was traded to the New York Yankees. He finished the season as a free agent.
In 2024, Keynan signed a contract with the St. Louis Cardinals. Unfortunately, he needed another surgery on his arm in June. This ended his season early. After the season, the Cardinals decided not to keep him, and he became a free agent again.
