Keystone is a town located in Summit County, Colorado, in the United States. It is a "home rule town," which means its residents have the power to create their own local laws.
In 2020, about 1,369 people lived in Keystone. The Dillon post office (Zip Code 80435) handles mail for Keystone. The town includes the famous Keystone Resort and Keystone village. Keystone officially became a town on February 8, 2024, after its residents voted to incorporate on March 28, 2023.

Keystone Resort: Fun in the Mountains
Keystone Resort is a very popular place for outdoor activities. It was first built in the 1970s. Today, a company called Vail Resorts owns it.
Skiing and Snowboarding Areas
The ski area at Keystone Resort covers three different mountains:
- Dercum Mountain
- North Peak
- The Outback
Recently, the resort added more areas for skiing and snowboarding. You can even go snowcat skiing in places like Independence Bowl and Bergman Bowl. There are also North Bowl and South Bowl on Wapiti Peak.

- The base of the mountain is 9,280 feet (2,828 meters) high.
- The summit (highest point) is 12,408 feet (3,782 meters) high.
- There are 131 different trails to explore.
- The trails are rated by difficulty:
- Easiest: 14 percent
- More Difficult: 29 percent
- Most Difficult: 57 percent
- The resort has 20 lifts, including two gondolas, two express six-pack lifts, and four high-speed quad lifts.
- Keystone is the only resort in the area that offers night skiing!
