Khia Shamone Finch (pronounced KY-uh; born November 8, 1976) is an American rapper and music producer. She is widely recognized for her breakthrough single released in 2002.

Early Life and Education
Khia Shamone Finch Chambers was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She grew up in the Germantown area of Philadelphia. When she was 11 years old, Khia moved to Tampa, Florida.
She attended Dowdell Middle School and Hillsborough High School. Khia left high school during her sophomore year. In 1991, she welcomed her first child, a daughter also named Khia. She moved to Honolulu, Hawaii, in 1992. While living there, she had her second child, a son named Rashawn. Before starting her music career, Khia worked as a bartender in Tampa. Her mother, Carol Belinda Chambers, passed away in 2001.

Khia began her journey in the music industry in the early 2000s. She has released several albums and collaborated with other artists.
2000–2002: Debut Album Release
Khia released her first album, ... Misses, in 2002. It was first released by Divine Records and later re-released by Dirty Down/Artemis Records. The album featured her lead single, which became a major hit. This song reached number 42 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also climbed to number 12 on the Hot Rap Tracks chart. MTV News reported that Khia wrote this popular song very quickly.
2003–2006: Second Album and Collaborations
In 2004, Khia was featured on a song with Trick Daddy and Tampa Tony. This track was part of Trick Daddy's album Thug Matrimony: Married to the Streets. Khia's second album, originally titled "Street Preacher," was planned for 2003. However, it was not released at that time.
Her second album, ...stress, was released on July 11, 2006. It debuted at number 67 on the Billboard R&B chart. Later in 2006, Khia worked with Janet Jackson on her song "So Excited". This song reached number 90 on the Hot 100 chart. It also hit number 1 on the Hot Dance Club Play chart.
2007–2008: New Music and Reality TV
Khia signed with Big Cat Records and continued with her own label, Thug Misses Entertainment. She completed her third studio album, ... Muzik, which came out on July 22, 2008. "What They Do" was the first promotional single from this album. It featured Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane.
The first official single, "Be Your Lady," was produced by Push-a-Key Productions. To promote her album, Khia released a mixtape called The Boss Lady. This mixtape was hosted by DJ Scream. In 2008, Khia appeared on the VH1 reality show Miss Rap Supreme. She was eliminated from the competition.
2009–2012: Exploring New Sounds
Khia started working on her fourth album, MotorMouf aka Khia Shamone, in 2009. On May 4, 2010, she released the lead single, "Been a Bad Girl." A music video for the song was filmed in New York. This song showed a different, more emotional side of Khia.
She promoted the single on a local ABC News show. In 2010, she mentioned that the album would feature her singing more. A second single, "So Addicted," was an R&B song. This track was included in the Khia Shamone part of the album. She also released other singles from the album, including "Georgia."
