Khia Shamone Finch (born November 8, 1976) is an American rapper and music producer. She is well-known for her hit song that reached the music charts.

Early Life and Education

Khia Shamone Finch Chambers was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She grew up in the Germantown area of the city. When she was 11, she moved to Tampa, Florida.

Khia attended Dowdell Middle School and Hillsborough High School. She became a mother during her high school years. In 1992, she moved to Honolulu, Hawaii, for a short time.

Khia began her music career in the early 2000s. She has released several albums and collaborated with other artists.

2000–2002: Thug Misses Album

Khia released her first album, Thug Misses, in 2002. It was put out by Dirty Down/Artemis Records. A song from this album became a big hit. It reached number 42 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also hit number 12 on the Hot Rap Tracks chart. Reports say she wrote this popular song very quickly.

2003–2006: Gangstress Release

In 2004, Khia worked with Trick Daddy on a song for his album. Her second album, Gangstress, came out on July 11, 2006. It reached number 67 on the Billboard R&B chart.

Later in 2006, Khia also teamed up with Janet Jackson. They worked together on Janet Jackson's song "So Excited". This song was very popular. It reached number 90 on the Hot 100 chart. It also hit number 1 on the Hot Dance Club Play chart.

2007–2008: Nasti Muzik and TV Show

Khia signed with Big Cat Records. She also kept her own label, Thug Misses Entertainment. Her third album, Nasti Muzik, was released on July 22, 2008.

The song "What They Do" was a promotional single. It featured Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane. Khia also released a mixtape called The Boss Lady. This helped promote her new album.

In 2008, Khia appeared on the VH1 reality show Miss Rap Supreme. She was eliminated from the competition. This happened because she performed a song she had recorded before the show.

2009–2012: Motor Mouf/Khia Shamone

Khia started working on her fourth album in 2009. It was titled MotorMouf aka Khia Shamone. On May 4, 2010, she released the first song from the album. It was called "Been a Bad Girl". A music video for the song was filmed in New York. This song showed a different side of Khia. She promoted the song on a local news show. In 2010, she mentioned that the album would feature her singing more.
