Kian John Francis Egan, born on April 29, 1980, is an Irish singer, songwriter, and musician. He is famous for being a member of the popular pop group Westlife. Westlife has released many albums and gone on several world tours. They have also won many awards, making them one of the most successful music groups ever. Kian Egan was also a judge on The Voice of Ireland. In 2013, he won the TV show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!.

Kian Egan's Music Journey
Early Music Days
Before joining Westlife, Kian Egan was part of a rock band called Skrod. He is very talented and can play at least five musical instruments. These include the guitar, piano, and drums. His brother, Gavin Egan, taught him piano. Kian is a Grade 8 pianist, which means he is very skilled.
Before Westlife, Kian was in a pop group called Six as One. This group later changed its name to IOYOU. Other members included Mark Feehily and Shane Filan, who would also join him in Westlife.
Westlife's Beginning and Success
The group IOYOU was signed by music manager Louis Walsh. The band's lineup changed to include Kian, Mark Feehily, Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, and Brian McFadden. They first called themselves Westside, then changed their name to Westlife. Westlife became a huge success. The band decided to take a break in 2012 after their Greatest Hits Tour.
In 2008, while Westlife was on a break, Kian Egan started a new project. He worked with Louis Walsh to create and manage a girl band called Wonderland. One of the members was Jodi Albert, who later became Kian's wife. Wonderland's first album did well in Ireland and the UK. However, the band later split up.
Solo Album: Home
In January 2014, Kian Egan signed a deal with Rhino Records. His first solo album, Home, came out in March 2014. The first song from the album was also called "Home". It was a cover of a song by the band Daughtry. The album reached number 2 in Ireland and number 9 in the UK. In May 2014, he released a second single, "I'll Be".
Westlife Reunion
In October 2018, Westlife announced they were getting back together. The group, now with four members, planned a big tour in 2019. This tour was called "The 20 Tour" to celebrate Westlife's 20th anniversary. They also released new music. Their first new song, "Hello My Love", was first heard on The Graham Norton Show in January 2019.

Coaching and Presenting
He was one of the coaches on The Voice of Ireland. Kian also regularly presented This Morning's Hub in 2012. He filled in for the usual hosts. Later that year, he reported on This Morning about the contestants in The X Factor. In October 2012, Kian co-presented a new version of Surprise Surprise.
I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!
In 2013, Kian Egan took part in the TV show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!. This show takes celebrities to a jungle camp where they face challenges. Kian won the series and was crowned "King Of The Jungle." Winning this show helped him get his record deal for his Home album.
In 2015, Kian Egan co-hosted a show called Fat Pets: Slimmer of the Year with Angela Griffin.
Kian Egan's Personal Life
Kian Egan was born to Kevin and Patricia Egan. He is the fifth of their seven children. He went to Summerhill College in Sligo, where he met future Westlife members Mark Feehily and Shane Filan. He is also a cousin of Shane Filan's wife, Gillian Walsh.
Kian Egan married English actress and singer Jodi Albert on May 8, 2009. Jodi was also a member of the bands Girl Thing and Wonderland. Kian's father sadly passed away shortly after their wedding.
Kian and Jodi have three sons. Their first son, Koa, was born on December 20, 2011. Their second son, Zekey, was born on May 21, 2015. Their third son, Cobi, was born on September 29, 2017. The family lives in Strandhill, County Sligo, in Ireland.
