Kian John Francis Egan was born on April 29, 1980. He is an Irish pop singer, songwriter, and musician. He is most famous for being a member of the popular music group Westlife. Westlife has released many albums and gone on many world tours. They have won lots of awards, becoming one of the most successful music groups ever.
Kian Egan was also a judge and coach on the TV show The Voice of Ireland. In 2013, he won the thirteenth series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!.

Music Career
Early Bands and Westlife
Before joining Westlife, Kian Egan was in a rock band called Skrod. He can play at least five musical instruments, including guitar, piano, and drums. His brother, Gavin Egan, taught him how to play the piano.
Kian was also part of a pop group called Six as One. This group later changed its name to IOYOU. Other future Westlife members, Mark Feehily and Shane Filan, were also in IOYOU.
After music manager Louis Walsh signed IOYOU, the band's lineup changed. Kian, Mark, and Shane were joined by Nicky Byrne and Brian McFadden. The band's name changed to Westside, and then to Westlife. Westlife became very popular. The group took a break in 2012 after their Greatest Hits Tour.
Wonderland and Solo Album
In 2008, while Westlife was on a break, Kian Egan started a new project. He worked with Louis Walsh to create and manage a girl band called Wonderland. One of the members was Jodi Albert, who later became Kian's wife. Wonderland's first album did well on the music charts. However, the band later split up.
In January 2014, Kian Egan signed a record deal. His first solo album, called Home, was released in March 2014. The album included a cover of the song "Home" by the band Daughtry. His album reached number 2 on the Irish music charts and number 9 in the UK. In May 2014, he released a second song from the album, "I'll Be".
Westlife Reunion
In October 2018, Westlife announced they were getting back together. The group reunited as a four-piece band. In 2019, they went on "The 20 Tour". This tour celebrated Westlife's 20th anniversary since they first formed.
Westlife also released new music after their reunion. Their first new song, "Hello My Love", was first heard on The Graham Norton Show in January 2019.
Television Career
Coaching and Presenting
Kian Egan was one of the coaches on The Voice of Ireland. He worked hard to help his team members. One time, his team member faced a voting disadvantage, which Kian felt was unfair.
In June 2012, Kian Egan shared that he was planning a TV show about surfing with Sky. Later that year, he regularly presented This Morning's Hub. He also gave reports on This Morning about contestants on The X Factor.
In October 2012, Kian Egan also helped present a new version of Surprise Surprise.
I'm a Celebrity Winner
In 2013, Kian Egan appeared on the thirteenth series of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!. He was very popular with viewers and was crowned King Of The Jungle. Winning the show helped him get his record deal for his solo album, Home.
From January 5 to 9, 2015, Kian Egan and Angela Griffin co-hosted a show called Fat Pets: Slimmer of the Year on ITV.
Personal Life
Kian Egan was born to Kevin and Patricia Egan. He is the fifth of their seven children. His older siblings are Vivienne, Gavin, Fenella, and Thomas. His younger siblings are Marielle and Colm.
Kian went to Summerhill College secondary school in Sligo. There, he met his future bandmates Mark Feehily and Shane Filan. He is also a cousin of Shane Filan's wife, Gillian Walsh. Before Westlife, Kian worked in a jeans store.
Kian Egan married English actress and singer Jodi Albert on May 8, 2009. Sadly, Kian's father was very ill and could not attend the wedding. He passed away shortly after.
Kian and Jodi have three sons. Their first son, Koa, was born on December 20, 2011. Their second son, Zekey, was born on May 21, 2015. Their third son, Cobi, was born on September 29, 2017. The family lives in Strandhill, County Sligo, Ireland.
