Angela Mellissa Griffin (born 19 July 1976) is an English actress, television presenter, and director. She has been a familiar face on British television since she was a teenager in the early 1990s.
Griffin is famous for playing Fiona Middleton in the popular soap opera Coronation Street. She is also well-known for her role as Kim Campbell in the school drama series Waterloo Road. Another of her famous roles was playing DS Lizzie Maddox in the detective show Lewis.

Early Life
Angela Griffin was born in Leeds, England. Her mother is English and her father is from the Caribbean islands of Saint Kitts and Nevis. She grew up on the Cottingley Estate near Beeston, Leeds. For her education, she went to Beeston Primary School, Hugh Gaitskell Middle School, and Intake High School.
Acting Career
Griffin's acting career took off when she was still a teenager. She has starred in some of Britain's biggest television shows.
Coronation Street
From 1992 to 1998, Griffin played the role of hairdresser Fiona Middleton in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street. This was one of her first major roles and made her a household name in the UK. She returned to the show for a short guest appearance in 2019.
Holby City and Other Dramas
After leaving Coronation Street, Griffin joined the original cast of the BBC One medical drama Holby City in 1999. She played staff nurse Jasmine Hopkins for three years. She also appeared in other popular BBC dramas, including Cutting It and Down to Earth.
Waterloo Road
From 2006, Griffin played Kim Campbell in the school drama Waterloo Road. Her character was an art teacher who later became the head of pastoral care, helping students with their problems. She acted in the show until 2010.
In 2022, it was announced that Griffin would return to a new series of Waterloo Road. This time, her character Kim Campbell was promoted to Head Teacher of the school.
Presenting and Other Work
Besides acting, Angela Griffin has also worked as a television and radio presenter.
In 2009, she hosted her own live daytime show on Sky One called Angela and Friends. The show talked about health, celebrity news, and other fun topics.
She has also presented lottery shows and co-hosted coverage of the Golden Globes awards. Griffin provides the voice for Amy, the vet in the children's TV show Postman Pat. Since 2021, she has hosted shows on BBC Radio 2.
In 2022, Griffin appeared in the Netflix movie Choose or Die and voiced the main character in an animated video about the ancient Greek play Medea.
