Kid Paddle is a fun comic book series from Belgium. It was created by Michel Ledent, also known as Midam, in 1993. The comics first appeared in a magazine called Spirou. Later, in 1996, they became their own comic albums.

The comic series became so popular that it led to an animated TV show! This show was made by a company called Spectra Animation. It aired in France on channels like M6 and TiJi/Canal J. In Belgium, it was shown on RTBF Television, and in Canada, you could watch it on Teletoon.

About Kid Paddle's World

The Kid Paddle comics and TV show are all about the things kids aged 8 to 12 love. These include video games, comic books, and sci-fi adventures. The main character, Kid Paddle, is a typical young boy who loves all these things. He's also a big fan of "Blorks," which are fictional aliens in his world.

Meet the Characters

Kid Paddle has two best friends who join him on his adventures:

  • Big Bang: He's a very smart kid who loves science. Big Bang is always inventing cool new gadgets for Kid to try out.
  • Horace: He's a bit more innocent than the others and has a really strange appetite! Horace is always there to support Kid and looks up to him.

Kid also has a sister named Carol. Like many brothers and sisters, they often argue. Carol thinks her brother is a bit of a silly air-head.

What the Show Covers

The stories in Kid Paddle often feature video games, movies, DVDs, and technology. In the second season, the show also started exploring topics like crushes and the differences between boys and girls.

So far, two seasons of the TV show have been made. Each season has 26 half-hour episodes, and each half-hour episode is actually two shorter 11-minute stories. The show is very popular in its home country of Belgium, and also in France.
