Killen is a small town in Lauderdale County, Alabama, United States. It is part of a larger area known as "The Shoals", which includes the cities of Florence and Muscle Shoals. The town became official in 1957.

Killen was first started near the Muscle Shoals Canal. This canal was an important waterway for trade and travel in the past.
