Kim Sang-bum (Hangul: 김상범), born on July 7, 1989, is a famous South Korean actor and singer. He is known by his stage name, Kim Bum.
He became very popular for his roles in TV shows. He played So Yi-jung, a member of the F4 group, in the hit drama Boys Over Flowers (2009). He also played Lee Rang, a half-human, half-gumiho (a mythical fox creature), in Tale of the Nine Tailed (2020). Another well-known role was Han Joon-hwi, a smart student, in Law School (2021). Kim Bum played Lee Rang again in Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 (2023).

Kim Sang-beom was born in Seoul, South Korea. This was on July 7, 1989. He went to Chung-Ang University. There, he studied Film and Theater.
Career Highlights
Starting Out (2006–2007)
Kim Bum first joined a TV show called "Survival Star Audition." He finished 6th out of many people. But he was too young to continue in the competition. Even so, this show helped him get many chances to act. Kim Bum started his acting career in a comedy show called High Kick!.
Becoming Popular (2008–2011)
Kim Bum first got noticed in the drama East of Eden. He won an award for being popular with viewers. He became very famous in 2009. This was after he played So Yi-jung in the popular drama Boys Over Flowers. He also gained more fans for his role in the fantasy drama Padam Padam (2011).
Music and International Work (2012–2015)
Kim Bum released his first music album, Hometown, on June 20, 2012. He also had his first solo concert in Tokyo, Japan.
In 2013, Kim Bum worked with writer Noh Hee-kyung again. This was for the drama That Winter, the Wind Blows. He also acted in his first Chinese movie, Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon. This movie was very successful in China. He then starred in a thriller movie called Miracle Hands. In the same year, he acted in his first historical drama, Goddess of Fire.
In 2014, Kim Bum was in his first Chinese TV drama, V Love. This show was like a Chinese version of "Gossip Girls." After that, he acted in two more Chinese movies. These were the romantic comedy Lovers & Movies and the suspense film The Beloved.
Return to Korean Dramas (2015–Present)

Kim Bum returned to Korean TV in 2015. He starred in the crime thriller Hidden Identity. He then acted in another crime thriller, Mrs. Cop 2. People praised his acting as a bad guy in that show.
In 2018, Kim Bum appeared in Detective K: Secret of the Living Dead. This was a comedy-mystery movie. It was his first Korean movie in four years.
He started his military service in April 2018. He finished in March 2020.
In 2020, he starred in the fantasy drama Tale of the Nine Tailed. He acted alongside Lee Dong-wook and Jo Bo-ah.
In 2021, he was in the legal drama Law School.
In 2022, Kim Bum starred in Ghost Doctor. He acted with Rain in this show. Later that year, he joined the UNIVERSE communication platform.
In 2023, Kim Bum played Lee Rang again in Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938. He acted with Lee Dong-wook once more.

Kim Bum has appeared in many advertisements. In 2007, he was in ads for snacks and ramen. In 2008, he promoted a phone plan.
After Boys Over Flowers became popular in 2009, he was in many more ads. These included clothing stores, phone companies, and even a video game. He also became an ambassador for a car brand. He appeared in a TV ad in the Philippines for a drink brand.
In 2010, he promoted a restaurant, a clothing brand, and a porridge restaurant.

Personal Life
Health Update
In February 2012, Kim Bum's agency shared news about his health. He had a type of joint pain called degenerative arthritis. This happened because he lost a lot of weight quickly. He had trained hard for his role in the drama Padam Padam.
