Kim Gun-mo (Hangul: 김건모; born January 13, 1968) is a famous South Korean singer and songwriter. Many people think he was the most successful musician in South Korea during the 1990s. His album, Wrongful Meeting, released in 1995, once held a Guinness World Record. It was the best-selling album ever in South Korea at that time.
Since he started his music career in 1992, Kim Gun-mo has released 13 full music albums. He has also won many awards. For example, he won the Album of the Year award at the Golden Disc Awards three years in a row, from 1994 to 1996. In 2011, the South Korean government honored him. He received a special award called a presidential commendation. This was for his important contributions to popular culture.

Kim Gun-mo was born on January 13, 1968, in Busan, South Korea. He loved music from a very young age. He started playing the piano when he was just four years old. He went to elementary, middle, and high school in Seoul. Later, he graduated from the Seoul Institute of the Arts. Before starting his music career, he served in the South Korean Navy in the late 1980s.

In 2004, he released his 9th album, Kim Gun Mo 9. This album reminded many people of his first one. It was like a fresh start for his music career. The next year, he released Be Like..., which was also very popular in Korea. His album Soul Groove was released in 2008.
