Kim Suk-soo (Hangul: 김석수; born 20 November 1932) is a South Korean politician and lawyer. He served as the Prime Minister of South Korea from 2002 to 2003. He held this important role under President Kim Dae-jung.
About Kim Suk-soo
Kim Suk-soo finished high school in 1952. He then studied law at Yonsei University, graduating in 1956. After his studies, he became a judge. He served as a justice in the Supreme Court, which is the highest court in the country. He also led the National Election Commission. This group helps make sure elections are fair.
In 2002, President Kim Dae-jung chose Kim Suk-soo to be the new Prime Minister. He officially started this job on 10 September 2002. The Prime Minister helps lead the government and works closely with the President. Kim Suk-soo's time as Prime Minister ended on 26 February 2003. After that, Goh Kun took over the role.
Later, in 2013, Kim Suk-soo was chosen to be the main director of Yonsei University. He also works as a lawyer at a firm called DR & AJU LLC.
