About Kiran Jassal
Kiran is the youngest of four children in her family. Her mother, Ranjit Kaur, won the Mrs Malaysia World title in 2015. Her older sister, Dr. Ranmeet Jassal, was Miss Grand Malaysia in 2016.
Kiran has always wanted to be a dentist. She plans to open her own dental clinic one day. Kiran is from the Punjabi community and follows the Sikh religion.

Winning Miss Universe Malaysia 2016
Kiran Jassal was crowned Miss Universe Malaysia 2016 on January 30, 2016. The event was held at the Palace of the Golden Horses Hotel in Seri Kembangan, Malaysia. The previous winner, Vanessa Tevi Kumares, placed the crown on Kiran's head. Kiran also won a special award called "Miss My Dentist Winning Smile."
Representing Malaysia at Miss Universe 2016
Kiran represented Malaysia at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant. She made it into the Top 12 for the "Best in National Costume" award. Her costume was inspired by the famous Petronas Twin Towers in Malaysia. A well-known Malaysian fashion designer, Rizman Ruzaini, created this costume and her evening gown.
Modelling Work
In 2016, Kiran Jassal participated in the L'Oréal Professionnel Colour For Life hair fashion charity event. She walked the runway alongside other famous models like Deborah Henry and Amber Chia.
Helping Others
Kiran Jassal is one of the celebrity ambassadors for the Malaysia AIDS Foundation. This means she helps spread awareness about important health issues.
In 2018, Kiran was also chosen as a Petron Security Ambassador. In this role, she helped share information about the Royal Malaysia Police's Go-To-Safety-Point (GTSP) program. This program helps people find safe places if they are in trouble.
