Kirby's Epic Yarn is a fun platformer video game. It was made for the Nintendo Wii console. HAL Laboratory and Nintendo created this game. It first came out in Japan in October 2010. Then it was released in North America, Australia, and Europe in late 2010 and early 2011.
Later, in March 2019, a new version called Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn was released for the Nintendo 3DS.
Story of the Game
One day, Kirby finds a special tomato and eats it. Suddenly, an evil being named Yin-Yarn appears. Yin-Yarn pulls Kirby into a world called Patch Land. This whole world is made out of yarn!
In Patch Land, Kirby's body also turns into yarn. The tomato Kirby ate gave him a new power. He can now transform into different yarn shapes. Kirby uses this power to help a boy named Prince Fluff. Prince Fluff tells Kirby that Yin-Yarn broke Patch Land into many pieces. These pieces were held together by magic yarn. Kirby must help Prince Fluff find all the pieces of the magic yarn. This will help them put Patch Land back together.
How to Play
In Kirby's Epic Yarn, Kirby has some new abilities. He cannot inhale enemies like in other Kirby games. Instead, he has a whip-like attack. Kirby can use this whip to hit enemies. He can also turn them into balls of yarn.
Kirby also cannot float by puffing up. Instead, he can turn into a parachute. This helps him float safely through the air. Kirby can also transform into other useful things. He can become a car to move faster. He can also turn into a dolphin to swim underwater.
Collecting Items
Each level in the game has three hidden treasure chests. You can also collect many colored beads. Collecting beads increases your score. Getting a high score earns you special medals. These medals and the treasure chests unlock extra levels to play. You can also use the beads you collect to buy furniture and wallpapers. These items let you decorate Kirby's living space in the game.
Health and Lives
This game is different from other Kirby games in one big way. Kirby does not have a health bar or a set number of lives. If Kirby gets hurt or falls into a deep pit, he does not lose a life. Instead, he simply loses some of the beads he has collected. This makes the game a bit easier for players.
