Kirti Nidhi Bista was born in Thamel, a part of Kathmandu, Nepal, in 1927. He became a well-known politician in his country. His main role was serving as the prime minister of Nepal.

Besides being prime minister, he also worked as the Minister of Finance. He held this job from 1969 to 1970 and again from 1971 to 1973.
Important Moments in His Career
One of the most remembered events during his time as prime minister happened in 1973. The Singha Durbar, which is the main government building in Nepal, caught fire. After this big fire, Kirti Nidhi Bista chose to resign from his position as prime minister. This showed his strong sense of responsibility.
Later in 2005, when King Gyanendra took over the government, Bista was appointed as one of the vice-chairmen. However, this government did not last long. It ended in April 2006 after many people protested and a new government was formed.
His Later Life and Passing
Kirti Nidhi Bista lived to be 90 years old. He passed away at his home in Gyaneshwor, Kathmandu, on November 11, 2017.
