As of the census of 2000, there were 375 people, 143 households, and 91 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,196.4 people per square mile (467.1/km²). There were 150 housing units at an average density of 478.6/sq mi (186.8/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 87.73% White, 5.87% African American, 0.53% Native American, 1.07% Asian, 0.53% Pacific Islander, 3.20% from other races, and 1.07% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.13% of the population.
There were 143 households out of which 39.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 44.8% were married couples living together, 16.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 35.7% were non-families. 28.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 3.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
