Knox Cameron was born on September 17, 1983. He is a former professional soccer player. He last played for AFC Ann Arbor in the National Premier Soccer League. Knox was born in Jamaica. However, he played for the United States national youth teams.

Knox Cameron's Soccer Journey
Playing Soccer in College
Knox Cameron grew up in New York City. He went to Cardinal Spellman High School in The Bronx. Later, he played college soccer at the University of Michigan. He was a fantastic player there.
Knox is second in his school's history for goals scored. He scored 28 goals during his college career. He also had 72 points in total. In his third year, he was named the Big Ten Player of the Year.
While in Michigan, Knox also played in indoor and recreational leagues. He was very good at playing soccer without shoes. One time, he scored 14 goals in an indoor game while playing barefoot!
During his college years, Knox also played for other teams. He played in the USL Premier Development League. These teams were the Brooklyn Knights and the Michigan Bucks. Before college, he played for Pasco Soccer Club. This club was from Wayne, New Jersey. He helped them win many tournaments.
Becoming a Professional Player
Knox Cameron faced a challenge early in his career. He had a serious knee injury while playing for the Michigan Bucks. This injury made him miss most of his last year at Michigan. Because of this, he was chosen later than expected in the 2005 MLS SuperDraft.
He was picked in the fourth round by Columbus Crew. He played 30 games for them over two years. He scored 4 goals during that time. After the 2006 season, the team decided to let him go. While with the Crew, he played a friendly game against Everton. He even thanked them on the scoreboard for letting him beat them!
After leaving Columbus Crew, Knox played for an amateur team. This team was called Canton Celtic. They played in Michigan's MUSL Men's Open 1st Division. Celtic won the Michigan section of a big championship. They then represented their state in a regional tournament.
Knox returned to play for the Michigan Bucks in 2009. This was in the USL Premier Development League. In 2012, he signed with Detroit City FC. He played his first game for DCFC on May 26, 2012. He scored the first goal in a 3–0 win against the Erie Admirals. He continued to play for DCFC in 2013. He scored two goals in their first game of the season. He also scored in their home opener. Knox scored again in a 2–0 win over Zanseville AFC. This gave him 4 goals for that season.
After Professional Soccer
Today, Knox Cameron is a co-owner and player for AFC Ann Arbor. This team is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He also helps with a youth soccer club. This club is called Saline FC. He helps young players learn and grow in soccer.
Playing for His Country
Knox Cameron chose to play for the United States. He played for different youth national teams. In 2003, he traveled to the UAE. He played in the FIFA World Youth Championship there.
