Konileti "Konrad" Hurrell, born on August 5, 1991, is a professional rugby league player from Tonga. He plays as a centre for St Helens in the Super League. He also represents his home country, Tonga, in international games.
Before joining St Helens, Konrad played for the New Zealand Warriors and the Gold Coast Titans in Australia's NRL. He also played for the World All Stars team in 2016.

Konrad's Early Life and Sports Journey
Konrad Hurrell was born in Tofoa, Tonga. In late 2009, he moved to New Zealand. He received a scholarship for rugby union at Auckland Grammar School.
He played for the school's top rugby team and became vice-captain in his second year. Konrad also played for Auckland Secondary Schools as a centre. He was a strong athlete and became New Zealand's national champion in weightlifting in 2010.
In 2011, Konrad switched to rugby league. He played for the Junior Warriors in the Toyota Cup. In his first year of rugby league, he scored 22 tries in 21 games. He was even named in the competition's Team of the Year.
Konrad's Professional Playing Career
Starting with the Warriors (2012-2016)
In 2012, Konrad joined the Warriors' main team. He signed a contract to play with them until the end of the 2013 season. Konrad made his NRL debut in Round 1 against the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles. He impressed everyone playing off the bench.
In Round 2, Konrad scored his first NRL try against the Parramatta Eels. By Round 18, he scored his first hat-trick (three tries in one game) against the Gold Coast Titans. He re-signed with the Warriors until 2015. Konrad finished the 2012 season as one of the Warriors' top try-scorers with 12 tries.
Continued Success and International Play (2013-2015)
In 2013, Konrad played 20 matches and scored 13 tries for the Warriors. Even though he had planned to play for New Zealand, he was chosen for Tonga's team for the 2013 Rugby League World Cup. He played in three matches and scored a try against the Cook Islands.
In 2014, Konrad played in the Warriors' first 2014 Auckland Nines tournament. He scored a try in a big 54–12 win against the Canberra Raiders. He finished the 2014 season with 19 matches and 12 tries.
On March 18, 2015, Konrad re-signed with the Warriors until the end of 2018. He also played for Tonga in the 2015 Polynesian Cup against Samoa. He played as a centre in their close 18–16 loss. Konrad played 12 matches and scored 4 tries for the Warriors in 2015.
Moving to the Gold Coast Titans (2016-2018)
In January 2016, Konrad was part of the Warriors' Auckland Nines squad. In February, he played for the World All Stars team against the Indigenous All Stars. He scored a try in the World All Stars' 12–8 win.
On May 25, the Warriors announced that Konrad was leaving the team. The very next day, he signed a contract with the Gold Coast Titans for the rest of 2016 and 2017.
After joining the Titans, Konrad made a big impact. He signed a contract extension until the end of 2019. He won the Members Most Valuable Player (MVP) award for the Titans. He also received the Preston Award for his community work.
In 2017, Konrad played for his home country, Tonga, in the 2017 Rugby League World Cup. In 2018, he started the season by scoring the winning try against the Canberra Raiders. He played his 100th NRL game against the St George Dragons. Konrad also played for Tonga in the Pacific Test against Samoa, scoring a try in their win.
On October 12, Konrad announced he would be leaving the Titans. He signed a three-year contract to play for the Leeds Rhinos in the English Super League.
Playing in the Super League (2019-Present)
Joining Leeds Rhinos (2019-2021)
Konrad had a fantastic first year in the English Super League in 2019. He quickly became a fan favorite. He scored 14 tries, making him the second-highest try scorer for the club that year. In April, he scored 4 tries in one game against Hull Kingston Rovers, which was his personal best.
Konrad won the Fans Player of the Year Award for the Leeds Rhinos on October 9. In 2020, he played in the 2020 Challenge Cup Final. His team, Leeds, won the cup against Salford at Wembley Stadium.
In 2021, Konrad played 17 games for Leeds. This included their semi-final loss against St Helens. After the season, St Helens announced they had signed Konrad for one year.
Success with St Helens (2022-Present)
In Round 1 of the 2022 Super League season, Konrad made his debut for St Helens R.F.C.. They won their game against Catalans Dragons. In June, Konrad signed a new one-year contract to stay with St Helens until the end of 2023.
In Round 16, Konrad scored two tries against his former club, Leeds. In Round 23, he scored two more tries in a big win against Hull F.C.. In the Grand Final on September 24, 2022, Konrad scored a try against Leeds. This helped St Helens win their fourth Grand Final in a row!
In 2023, Konrad played in St Helens' exciting 13-12 victory over Penrith in the 2023 World Club Challenge. In Round 7, he scored two tries in St Helens' 38-0 win over Wakefield Trinity.
In Round 6 of the 2024 Super League season, Konrad scored the winning try for St Helens. They won 12-4 against their rivals, Wigan.
