Konstanz (also called Constance) is a special area in Germany called a Landkreis or district. It is located in the southern part of Baden-Württemberg, a state in Germany. This district is right on the border between Germany and Switzerland.
Konstanz district is famous for being along the beautiful shores of Lake Constance. Two very special islands are part of this district:
- Reichenau Island: This island is a World Heritage Site. It has an old monastery that is very important historically.
- Mainau Island: This island is known as a "flower island" because it has amazing gardens filled with many different kinds of flowers.
