Korey Banks (born August 7, 1979) is a former professional Canadian football player. He played as a defensive back, which is a position that helps stop the other team from scoring. Korey played for several teams during his career, including the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the Canadian Football League (CFL). Before turning professional, he played college football for the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Playing Professional Football
Time in the NFL
Korey Banks started his professional journey in 2003. He signed with the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He spent some time with the Dolphins, even playing in their last two games of the 2003 season. After that, he moved on to play in the CFL.
Playing for Ottawa Renegades
In 2004, Korey joined the Ottawa Renegades in the CFL. He had a great season in 2005. He led the league with 10 interceptions, which means he caught the ball from the other team's quarterback 10 times! He also scored two touchdowns and made 44 tackles. For his amazing performance, he was named a CFL All-Star.
Success with the BC Lions
After the Renegades team stopped playing, Korey was chosen by the BC Lions in a special draft in 2006. This was a big moment for him. In his first year with the Lions, he helped them win the 94th Grey Cup, which is like the championship game in Canadian football.
Korey continued to be a star player for the BC Lions. He was named a CFL All-Star multiple times: in 2006, 2009, 2011, and 2012. He was also a West Division All-Star for many years, from 2006 to 2011. He played with the Lions until the end of the 2013 season.
Time with Winnipeg Blue Bombers
In 2014, Korey Banks was traded to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He signed a contract to play with them through the 2015 season. However, he was released by the team in June 2014. This marked the end of his professional football career.

Korey Banks has two sons, named Korey Jr. and Kamden. He also has a daughter named Kennedy. He is related to other football players too! His cousins are Anquan Boldin, who played wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers, and Autry Denson, a former running back for the Miami Dolphins.
