Kramer (also known as Kramer Junction) is a small place in San Bernardino County, California, United States. It is called an unincorporated community. This means it is not an official city or town with its own local government.
What is Kramer Junction?
Kramer is mainly known for being a very important crossroads. It is located exactly where two major roads meet. These roads are US Highway 395 and California State Route 58.
Where is Kramer Located?
This community is found in the desert area of California. It is about 3.6 miles (or 5.8 kilometers) east of a place called Boron. Its location makes it a key spot for travelers.
Traffic and Travel in Kramer
For many years, drivers faced long waits at the stoplight in Kramer Junction. This light often held up traffic on State Route 58. It could be very frustrating for people traveling through the area.
However, this problem was mostly fixed by June 2020. A new road was built around the junction, called the Kramer Junction bypass. This bypass helps traffic flow much more smoothly now.
