Kwamie Lassiter II (born January 21, 1998) is an American football player. He plays as a wide receiver for the Memphis Showboats. This team is part of the United Football League (UFL). Kwamie played college football at the University of Kansas. In 2022, he joined the Cincinnati Bengals as a player who was not picked in the draft.

College Football Career

Kwamie Lassiter II played college football for five seasons at the University of Kansas. During his time there, he caught 148 passes. He gained 1,550 yards and scored seven touchdowns. He was also recognized twice for his great play in the Big 12 Conference.

Professional Football Career

Playing for the Cincinnati Bengals

Kwamie Lassiter II was not chosen in the 2022 NFL draft. However, he signed with the Cincinnati Bengals on May 13, 2022. He was later released from the main team. But he quickly rejoined the Bengals' practice squad.

On November 26, 2022, Kwamie was moved to the active roster. This allowed him to play in a game against the Tennessee Titans.

Kwamie signed another contract with the Bengals on January 31, 2023. He was released again on August 29, 2023. The next day, he signed with their practice squad once more. On October 7, 2023, he was activated to play in a game. This was for the Bengals' Week 5 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

This game was special because it was only his second NFL game. He played against the team his father, Kwamie Lassiter, played for during eight seasons. In this game, Kwamie made his first ever catch in the NFL. It was a 2-yard catch. After the game, he returned to the practice squad. The Bengals signed Kwamie to another contract on January 8, 2024. He was released by the Bengals on August 23.

Kwamie Lassiter II is named after his father, Kwamie Lassiter. His father also played football at the University of Kansas. He then played for 10 seasons in the NFL, mostly for the Cardinals. Kwamie has two younger brothers who also play college football. Their names are Kwinton (at Kansas) and Darius (at BYU). His sister, Darian, was a member of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
