Kyle John Solomon Alexander (born October 21, 1996) is a professional basketball player from Canada. He plays for Türk Telekom in Turkey. Kyle is a tall player, standing 6 feet 10 inches (208 cm) tall. He plays as a Power forward or centre. Before becoming a professional, he played college basketball for the Tennessee Volunteers team.

Early Life and High School
Kyle Alexander was born in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. He grew up in Milton, Ontario. When he was in high school, he went to Orangeville Prep in Orangeville, Ontario. Before playing basketball, Kyle actually played soccer and volleyball. He only started playing basketball in his eleventh grade year.
While at Orangeville Prep, Kyle was roommates with Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray. They also played AAU basketball together. AAU basketball is a type of amateur sports league for young athletes. They played for a team called CIA Bounce.
College Basketball Career
Kyle Alexander played college basketball for the Tennessee Volunteers for four years. This is a team from the University of Tennessee. In his final year, he was a senior. He played about 24 minutes per game. During this time, he scored 7.3 points and grabbed 6.6 rebounds per game. He also blocked 1.7 shots per game.
Kyle helped his team reach the "Sweet Sixteen" in the college basketball tournament. He was very good at shooting the ball. He made 61.4 percent of his shots from the field. He also made 42.9 percent of his three-point shots.
Professional Basketball Journey
After college, Kyle Alexander was not chosen in the 2019 NBA draft. This means no NBA team picked him right away. However, he joined the Miami Heat for the 2019 NBA Summer League. This is a special league where new players can show their skills.
Starting with the Skyforce
On July 15, 2019, the Miami Heat signed Kyle to a training camp contract. After the training camp, Kyle joined the Sioux Falls Skyforce. This team is part of the NBA G League. The G League is like a development league for the NBA.
Playing for the Miami Heat
On January 15, 2020, Kyle Alexander signed a "two-way contract" with the Miami Heat. A two-way contract allows a player to play for both an NBA team and its G League team. The next day, it was announced that Kyle had a knee injury.
He made his first NBA game appearance on August 6, 2020. He played for one minute and got one rebound. This was in a game where the Heat lost to the Milwaukee Bucks. The Heat later made it to the 2020 NBA Finals. This is the championship series of the NBA. However, they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in six games.
Playing in Spain
On December 2, 2020, Kyle signed with Fuenlabrada. This is a team in the Spanish Liga ACB. He played well there, averaging 9 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. He signed with the team again on August 23, 2021.
Then, on July 22, 2022, Kyle signed with another Spanish team, Valencia. He played for them until June 26, 2023.
Back in Canada
In between his time in Spain, Kyle also played in his home country. On May 16, 2022, he signed with the Scarborough Shooting Stars. This team is part of the CEBL, which is the Canadian Elite Basketball League.
More International Play
After leaving Valencia, Kyle continued his international career. On July 26, 2023, he signed with Hapoel Tel Aviv. This team plays in the Israeli Basketball Premier League.
Most recently, on July 11, 2024, Kyle signed with Türk Telekom. This team plays in the Turkish Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL).
Family Life
Kyle Alexander's parents are Joseph and Audrey Alexander. His father, Joseph, also played college basketball. He played for the Niagara Purple Eagles from 1982 to 1986.
Kyle has two sisters. Their names are Kayla and Kesia. His sister Kayla is also a professional basketball player. She played for the Canada women's national basketball team. Kayla was part of Team Canada at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. She also used to play for the Minnesota Lynx in the WNBA.
