Excelia is a private university in France. It offers many different types of higher education. It started in 1988 and was first called Groupe Sup de Co La Rochelle.
Excelia is a non-profit group. It works closely with the La Rochelle Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It is also a member of the Conférence des Grandes Écoles. This is a group of top French schools. Excelia's Business School is one of about 100 business schools worldwide. This means it has a special "triple accreditation".

History of Excelia
Excelia was founded in 1988. It became a permanent member of the Conférence des Grandes Écoles in 2005. This shows it is a well-known and respected school.
In September 2016, Excelia took over the ESCEM Business School. This school was located in Tours and Orléans. It then became a full part of Excelia.
Today, Excelia has 5,000 students. It also has nearly 40,000 former students, called Alumni.
Excelia Schools and Campuses
Excelia is made up of five main schools:

The main campus of Excelia is in La Rochelle. There are also three other campuses. These are located in Tours, Orléans, and Paris.
Excelia also offers programs in other French cities. These include Niort, Rochefort, Angoulême, and Cognac.
Beyond France, Excelia has two partner campuses. One is in New Rochelle, USA. The other is in Beijing, China.
Accreditation and Quality
Excelia is officially recognized by The French Ministry of Education. This means its degrees are valid in France.
Excelia Business School has special accreditations. It has been EFMD-EPAS accredited since 2011. It also got AACSB accreditation in 2013. In 2020, Excelia Business School earned the "triple crown". This is a very high honor. Only about 100 business schools around the world have it.
Excelia Tourism School also has a special award. It holds the TedQual accreditation. This is given by the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO). It covers all its programs in Tourism Management. This school is the first and only French school to get TedQual accreditation. It has it for both its Bachelor and MBA programs.
Rankings
Excelia's programs are highly rated. In 2022, the Financial Times ranked its Masters in Management program. It was ranked 36th in the world.
Excelia Business School has been in the Financial Times ranking of European Business Schools for several years. It was ranked 76th in 2014 and 63rd in 2020.
