Laarbeek (pronounced like "LAAR-bayk") is a special type of local government area called a municipality. It is found in the North Brabant province, which is in the southern part of the Netherlands.
Laarbeek was created on January 1, 1997. It was formed by joining three smaller municipalities: Beek en Donk, Aarle-Rixtel, and Lieshout. The village of Mariahout was also part of Lieshout. The main office for Laarbeek's government, called the town hall, is in Beek en Donk.
Laarbeek is part of a larger group of towns and cities. This group is called the 'Samenwerkingsverband Regio Eindhoven'. It is centered around the city of Eindhoven. This means the towns work together on important things.
One famous place in Laarbeek is the Bavaria Brewery. It is located in Lieshout. This brewery is one of the biggest in the Netherlands. It makes drinks for people both in the country and around the world. You can also find the historic Croy Castle close to the village of Aarle-Rixtel.
