Lake Alpine is a beautiful lake in Alpine County, California. It's not a natural lake, but a reservoir. This means it was created by building a dam across Silver Creek. The dam holds back water, forming the lake.
Lake Alpine is found in the amazing Sierra Nevada mountain range. It sits very high up, at 7,303 feet (about 2,227 meters) above sea level. This makes it a cool place to visit, especially in summer.
