Lake Luzerne-Hadley used to be a special kind of community called a census-designated place (CDP) in New York. It was located across two counties: Saratoga and Warren. A CDP is an area that looks like a town but isn't officially incorporated as one.
This area was made up of parts of the towns of Hadley and Lake Luzerne. In the year 2000, about 2,240 people lived there. Later, for the 2010 census, Lake Luzerne-Hadley was divided into two separate CDPs: Lake Luzerne and Hadley. These two communities are found where the Sacandaga and Hudson rivers meet.
Geography of the Area
The area that was once Lake Luzerne-Hadley covers about 4.2 square miles (11.0 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 3.8 square miles (9.7 square kilometers), is land. The rest, about 0.5 square miles (1.2 square kilometers), is water. This means a good part of the area is covered by lakes or rivers!

In 2000, when Lake Luzerne-Hadley was still one CDP, there were 2,240 people living there. They lived in 882 households, with 606 of these being families.
The people living in the area were of different ages:
