The Lamborghini Centenario is a very special and powerful supercar made by Lamborghini in 2016. Only 40 of these amazing cars were ever built: 20 were coupes (cars with a fixed roof), and 20 were convertibles, known as the Centenario Roadster.

A Special Anniversary Car

Lamborghini created the Centenario to celebrate what would have been the 100th birthday of Ferruccio Lamborghini, the company's founder. This incredible car was first shown to the world at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. It was built using parts from another famous Lamborghini, the Aventador, but with an even stronger engine.

How Many Were Made?

Lamborghini made a total of 40 Centenarios. This included 20 coupe versions and 20 roadster versions. All of these cars were sold even before Lamborghini started delivering them to customers. This shows how popular and exclusive they were!

Engine and Power

The Centenario is based on the Aventador, but it has an even more powerful engine. It uses a 6.5-litre V12 that can produce 770 horsepower. This is 20 horsepower more than the Aventador SV.

Super Fast Performance

The Centenario is incredibly fast. It can go from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour (62 mph) in just 2.8 seconds. It can reach 300 km/h (186 mph) in 23.5 seconds. The car's top speed is 350 km/h (217 mph). It can also stop very quickly, braking from 100 km/h (62 mph) to a complete stop in only 30 meters (98 feet).

Lamborghini introduced the Centenario Roadster in August 2016 at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The Roadster is the convertible version of the Centenario. It weighs a little more than the coupe, but its amazing performance is exactly the same.
