Lamon Dezjon Archey (born April 9, 1981) is an American actor. He is famous for his roles in popular TV shows. He played Mason Wilder on The Young and the Restless from 2012 to 2014. He also starred as Eli Grant on Days of Our Lives from 2017 to 2022, and again in 2023 and 2024. Since 2020, he has played D'Angelo Carter on The CW series All American.

Early Life and Background
Lamon Archey was born in 1981. He grew up in San Mateo, California, raised by his grandparents. In high school, Lamon enjoyed playing both baseball and football.
After finishing high school, he worked as a carpenter for two years. He installed floors in homes. Later, he moved to Los Angeles with his uncle. There, he found a job as an emergency medical technician (EMT). EMTs are first responders who help people in medical emergencies. Lamon has 12 tattoos. In March 2023, Lamon married Kristen Terry in a private ceremony in Los Angeles.
Acting Career
Less than a year after moving to Los Angeles, Lamon was discovered by a modeling scout. This happened while he was at a job fair. He soon started getting modeling jobs for big brands. These included Macy's, Gap Inc., Kohl's, Armani, and Dolce & Gabbana. In 2004, he was even chosen by Beyoncé to be her love interest in a music video. It was for the Destiny's Child song "Cater 2 U". Lamon says modeling helped him become more outgoing.
Lamon's manager suggested he take acting classes. He was told this could help him get roles on TV shows. He first appeared in a short film called Let's Get Laid! in 2010. He also appeared in TV commercials for companies like Chase Bank and McDonald's. After two years of acting classes, he almost gave up. But then he got a small role as a police officer on Days of Our Lives in 2011.
In 2012, Lamon was cast in a bigger role. He played Mason Wilder on the TV show The Young and the Restless. He was on the show until 2014. In 2013, he also had a role on Diary of a Champion. He also starred in a short film called The B Word. This film was about a serious eating disorder.
In 2016, Lamon appeared in other TV shows. These included Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life and 2 Broke Girls. He also had a role on the show Roadies.
In December 2016, Lamon returned to Days of Our Lives. He got a new main role as Eli Grant. Eli Grant is the grandson of a long-time character, Julie Olson Williams. Lamon's first episode as Eli was in February 2017. His character, Eli, became a popular couple with Lani Price, played by Sal Stowers.
In 2017, Lamon played Vince in the TV movie Can't Buy My Love. In 2020, he joined the cast of All American. He played D'Angelo Carter in the show's second season finale. He continued to appear in the show in later seasons.
In 2021, Lamon played Eli Grant again in a spin-off show. It was called Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem and streamed online. In 2022, it was announced that he would be leaving Days of Our Lives. His last episode was in July 2022. However, he made special return appearances to Days in 2023 and 2024. In 2023, he also appeared in the film Every Breath She Takes.
Personal Life
Lamon Archey is related to screenwriter Robert J. Poole. Robert J. Poole wrote the film The Mack in 1973.
In January 2023, Lamon got engaged to Krissy Terry. They were married on March 25, 2023. Lamon has four children, including a daughter with Krissy.
