Lamon Dezjon Archey (born April 9, 1981) is an American actor. He is famous for playing Mason Wilder on the CBS TV show The Young and the Restless. He also played Eli Grant on the NBC show Days of Our Lives. You might also know him as D'Angelo Carter on the popular series All American.

Early Life and First Jobs
Lamon Archey was born in Daly City, California. He grew up in the nearby city of San Mateo, where his grandparents raised him. As a kid, he was an only child. In high school, he enjoyed playing sports like baseball and football for his first two years.
After graduating from San Mateo High School, Archey worked some interesting jobs. He was a carpenter, building and fixing things with wood. He also worked as an emergency veterinarian technician, helping animals in need. In 2001, he decided to make a big move to Los Angeles to live with his uncle.
Career Journey
From Modeling to Music Videos
Shortly after moving to Los Angeles, Archey's life took an exciting turn. While at a job fair, a modeling scout noticed him. This led to a successful modeling career. He appeared in ads for famous brands like Macy's, Gap Inc., and Armani.
In 2004, he got a huge opportunity. The singer Beyoncé chose him to be in a music video for her group Destiny's Child. He played her love interest in the video for the song "Cater 2 U". Archey has said that modeling helped him become more confident and less shy.
Starting an Acting Career
Archey's manager suggested he take acting classes. His manager believed he could get a role on a soap opera, which is a type of TV drama series. After about two years of classes, Archey felt like giving up. But he kept trying and finally got a small part on Days of Our Lives in 2011.
In October 2012, he landed a bigger role on the soap opera The Young and the Restless. He played the character Mason Wilder in many episodes until 2014. This is called a "recurring role," meaning he appeared often but wasn't in every episode.
Becoming a TV Star
In 2016, Archey appeared in several TV shows, including Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life and 2 Broke Girls. He also had a recurring role on the series Roadies.
A big moment in his career came in December 2016. He returned to Days of Our Lives, but this time in a major role as a new character named Eli Grant. This was a "contract role," which means he was a main actor on the show. His character was the grandson of a longtime character, Julie Olson Williams. On the show, Eli's story often involved a romance with Lani Price, played by actress Sal Stowers.
Archey played Eli Grant until 2022. He also played the character in a special mini-series called Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem in 2021. He has returned to Days of Our Lives for special appearances in 2023 and 2024.
Success on All American
In 2020, Archey joined the cast of the popular The CW show All American. He plays D'Angelo Carter, a recurring character who has appeared in multiple seasons of the show.
