Lance Ellington was born on June 22, 1967. He is a talented English singer, songwriter, and actor.

He is the only son of the famous band leader Ray Ellington. Lance is especially known for singing swing songs and big, emotional ballads. He has worked with many well-known artists. These include Sting, George Michael, Gloria Gaynor, Michael Jackson, and Robbie Williams. Today, you can often see him performing on the BBC TV show Strictly Come Dancing.

Lance Ellington's Music Career

After finishing school, Lance Ellington won a TV talent show called New Faces in 1977. He won as part of a singing duo named Koffee 'n' Kreme. His partner was Beth Hannah.

After this win, he went on tour with singer Johnny Mathis. He also performed in the special Royal Variety Show. Lance continued his career as a session singer. This means he sang backup or on recordings for many top artists. He also worked on several music albums. In 1988, he sang "Love You Too." This was the main theme song for the movie Thieves of Fortune.
