Larry Keith (born Lawrence Jay Korn) was an American actor. He was born on March 4, 1931, and passed away on July 17, 2010. Larry Keith was well-known for his role as Nick Davis on the TV show All My Children. He was also the first American actor to play the famous character Henry Higgins in the Broadway musical My Fair Lady.

Larry Keith's Early Life and Training
Larry Keith was born in Brooklyn, New York. He changed his name from Lawrence Jay Korn to Larry Keith when he started acting. He first trained as a singer. He earned a music degree from Brooklyn College.
Later, while studying music in graduate school, he joined the United States Army. During his time in the army, he performed in shows for troops. These shows were for soldiers stationed in South Korea.
Larry Keith on Broadway
Larry Keith had a very important role in the 1961 Broadway show My Fair Lady. He was the understudy for Henry Higgins. This meant he learned the part and was ready to step in if the main actor couldn't perform. He played Higgins about 50 times! Before his first time playing the role, he joked that his British accent might not fool people in England, but it would work in New York.
He also helped start a theater group called TACT (The Actors Company Theatre). This group's goal is to perform plays that are not often seen. Larry Keith acted in some of their plays, like Eccentricities of a Nightingale.
In 1997, Larry Keith was in the Broadway musical Titanic. He played Isidor Straus, who owned Macy's department store. In the show, his character sang a song to his wife as the ship was sinking. Later, in 2004, he played Mr. Stopnick in the musical Caroline, or Change.
Larry Keith's Television Career
Larry Keith became very famous for his role as Nick Davis. Nick Davis was a restaurant owner on the TV soap opera All My Children. He was a regular cast member from 1970 to 1978. After that, he made special guest appearances on the show for many years.
He also appeared in other popular TV shows. These included Damages and several episodes of Law & Order.
Later Life
Larry Keith lived in Manhattan, New York. He passed away there on July 17, 2010. He died due to complications from lung cancer. He was survived by his former wife, a daughter, and a grandchild.
