It was a special gift from the Chinese community in Peru. They gave it to Lima to celebrate the city's 400th birthday, which marked 400 years since the Spanish founded Lima.
What is Las Llamas?
This amazing sculpture is made from bronze. It shows four llamas standing together in a circle. They are all looking towards the south. The llamas stand on a strong metal base. This base helps support the entire sculpture.
