Lawrenceville is a city in Illinois, United States. It is the main city, or county seat, of Lawrence County. The city is located along the Embarras River in southeast Illinois. It is found northwest of Vincennes, Indiana. In 2020, about 4,164 people lived there.

Lawrenceville is famous for its high school basketball team, the Lawrenceville "Indians". They won the Illinois Class A state championship four times: in 1972, 1974, 1982, and 1983. The team had an amazing winning streak in 1982–83, with 68 wins and no losses! Their coach, Ron Felling, later became an assistant coach at Indiana University.
