Music Career

Layzie Bone and his friends formed a music group called B.O.N.E. Enterpri$e in 1993. They recorded their first album, Faces of Death, with their mentor Kermit Henderson. After this, Layzie and the group traveled to Los Angeles. There, they met the well-known producer and rapper Eazy-E.

They auditioned for Eazy-E in Cleveland, Ohio, and then went to Los Angeles to sign a deal with his record label. Eazy-E wanted to call them Thugs-n-Harmony, but the group wanted to keep "Bone" in their name. So, they became known as Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.

Solo Music and Collaborations

Layzie Bone has also helped promote the independent record label Mo Thugs Records, which he and the other Bone members started. He released his first solo album, ... by Nature, on March 20, 2001. On the same day, Bizzy Bone, another member of their group, released his second solo album.

Layzie Bone has also worked with other artists like Young Noble from The Outlawz and A.K. of Do or Die. He has released several solo albums, including It's Not A Game, The New Revolution, Cleveland, and Startin' from Scratch: How A ... Was Born. He also created a series of albums with Bizzy Bone under the name Bone Brothers, such as Bone Brothers, Bone Brothers 2, and Bone Brothers 3.

Starting His Own Music Label

In 2010, Layzie Bone started his own record label called Harmony Howse Entertainment. In 2011, he planned to release a collaborative music collection called FireSquad with Fredro Starr from the Onyx group.

Under his new label, Layzie released two albums, The Definition and The Meaning, on February 22, 2011. In 2015, he released a song called Cleveland is The City featuring Aaron "D-Boyy" Dissell. This song was even used by Fox News as the theme song for the Cleveland Cavaliers basketball team during the 2015 NBA Finals. Layzie Bone is also the uncle of independent rapper Dizzy Wright.
