Rufus Lee Cooper III (born March 21, 1978 – died July 4, 2025), known by his stage name Young Noble, was an American rapper. He was a member of Tupac Shakur's rap group, Outlawz.

Life and Career

Young Noble was born in Sierra Madre, California. He grew up in Pasadena, California. When he was eight years old, he moved to New Jersey. There, he met future members of the Outlawz group, Hussein Fatal and Yaki Kadafi. Around age 16, he moved back to California. He lived with his sister in Rancho Cucamonga.

Noble first appeared on Tupac Shakur's album The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory. He was featured on songs like "Bomb First (My Second Reply)" and "Hail Mary". Young Noble joined the Outlawz in early 1996. He was the last member added to the group by Tupac Shakur himself. This was before Tupac passed away in September 1996.

In 1999, an album called Still I Rise was released. It was a collaboration between Tupac Shakur and the Outlawz. This album sold many copies. Young Noble contributed to several songs on it.

Noble released his first solo album, Noble Justice, in 2002. Over the years, he made more solo albums. He also worked on projects with other Outlawz members. He even released albums with other artists. These included Bone Thugs-n-Harmony members Krayzie Bone and Layzie Bone.

Live Performances

Young Noble performed with Tupac and the Outlawz on stage. This happened at the Los Angeles House of Blues on July 4, 1996. He performed his part from the song "Tattoo Tearz". He also performed Hussein Fatal's part from another song. This was because Fatal was arrested before the show.

Passing Away

Rufus Lee Cooper III, known as Young Noble, passed away on July 4, 2025. He was 47 years old. He died in Snellville, Georgia. His family shared that he had been struggling with depression. They had been trying to get him help. His wife mentioned that his music career had slowed down. Recent difficult times, like the death of his mother, also affected his mental health.
