Leandro Vissotto was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is married to Nathalia. They have two daughters. Their first daughter, Catharina, was born in August 2010. Their second daughter, Victoria, was born on September 7, 2013, in Belo Horizonte.

Playing for Brazil's National Team
Leandro Vissotto has had a very successful career playing for the Brazilian national team.
- World Champion: On October 10, 2010, Brazil, with Vissotto on the team, won the title of World Champion. This was a huge win for them!
- Olympic Silver Medal: At the 2012 Olympic Games in London, Leandro and his teammates played in the final match. They faced Russia and won a silver medal. Leandro was injured and couldn't play in the final, but he was still a big part of the team's success.
- World Championship Silver: On September 21, 2014, his national team played against Poland in the final of the 2014 World Championship. Brazil won a silver medal, which was Leandro's second medal at the World Championship.

CEV Champions League
2008/2009 and 2009/2010 - He won the CEV Champions League twice with Itas Diatec Trentino. This is one of the biggest club competitions in Europe.
FIVB Club World Championship
2009 - He also won the FIVB Club World Championship with Itas Diatec Trentino. This means his team was the best club team in the world!

2014/2015 - He won the Japanese Championship with JT Thunders.
2018/2019 - He won the Brazilian Superliga with Funvic Taubaté.
