Lee Jung-shin (Hangul: 이정신; born September 15, 1991), also known as Jungshin, is a talented South Korean musician, singer, rapper, and actor. He is best known as the bassist for the popular South Korean rock band CNBLUE. The band first started making music in January 2010 in South Korea.

Life and Career Highlights
Early Life and Joining CNBLUE
Lee Jung-shin was born in Seoul, South Korea, on September 15, 1991. He grew up with his parents and an older brother in Ilsan. He finished his high school education at Jung Bal High School, also in Ilsan.
In 2009, Lee Jung-shin began training with FNC Entertainment, a well-known entertainment company. In September of that same year, he joined CNBLUE as their bassist. He took the place of the previous bassist, Kwon Kwang-jin. Besides playing the bass, Lee Jung-shin also raps and sings backup vocals for the band.
Acting and Solo Music
Lee Jung-shin started his acting career in 2012. He appeared in the KBS2 family drama Seoyoung, My Daughter. This show was very popular, becoming the highest-rated Korean drama of 2013. Many people praised his acting in the series.
After his first role, he acted in other dramas. These included The Blade and Petal in 2013 and Temptation in 2014. For his role in Temptation, he won his first acting award. It was for "Best New Rising Star" at the 3rd DramaFever Awards.
In 2015, Lee Jung-shin took on his first main role in a drama special called Thank You, My Son. That same year, he became a host for Mnet's music show M Countdown. He hosted the show until 2016.
In 2016, he starred in the romantic comedy Cinderella with Four Knights on tvN. He also released his first solo song, "Confession," for the drama's soundtrack.
He continued acting in 2017, appearing in the historical romance drama My Sassy Girl. Later that year, he had another main role in the fantasy romance drama Longing Heart.
In July 2019, Lee Jung-shin released a Japanese solo song called "Blue Orion." He then released an album with this song and four other Japanese tracks in September.
After completing his military service, Lee Jung-shin returned to acting in March 2021. He starred in the web series Summer Guys. This series was available on KT Seezn, AbemaTV, and Viu.
In September 2021, he was cast in the drama Shooting Stars. He acted alongside Lee Sung-Kyung and Kim Young-dae in this series. In 2024, he appeared in the second season of The Escape of the Seven.
Helping Others (Philanthropy)
Lee Jung-shin is also known for his charity work. In June 2018, he held a special photo exhibition with his brother, Lee Yong Shin. The exhibition was called "We Blew Away Dandelion Puffs." It showed photos from their trip to Myanmar, where they volunteered with the LOVE FNC Foundation. They visited a school and a day care center. The money raised from selling the photos helped fund a scholarship program in Myanmar.
On April 7, 2019, Lee Jung-shin donated 10 million won to help people affected by forest fires in Gangwon Province. This donation was reported by the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association.
In October 2021, Lee Jung-shin and photographer Alex Kim held a live broadcast. They did this to support Alex Primary School Surongo in the Himalayas. This event was a partnership with the LOVE FNC Foundation and Naver's Happybean Foundation.
Personal Life
Military Service
Lee Jung-shin began his required military service on July 31, 2018. He completed his basic military training and shared photos on his Instagram account in September.
During his service, he hosted the Armed Forces Festival in October 2018. He also emceed a military music concert celebrating the 70th Anniversary of soldier establishment.
Lee Jung-shin was officially discharged from his military service on March 19, 2020.
